Key Responsibilities & Tasks

1.Give instruction on material lab to improve testing capability & efficiency, including tensile test, chemical composition test, hardness test, metallurgical microstructure analysis and so on. Keep communication and discussion with EU material lab on new testing method.

2.Responsible to define the testing content and methods according to different cases’ request, such as failure analysis (important), material conforming test or new material investigation. Especially on microstructure analyzing to heat-treatment parts.

3.Material technical support to CAD and CAE team on new products development; Find Chinese equivalent materials to foreign materials (EU, Japan and NA), and do material localization work for global programs; Give material support to purchasing team (buyer, SQE), help to develop/validate new low-cost material.

Cooperating with EU team, Give Eco-design support to new product development and perform the material data declaration (IMDS/CAMDS are both included).

Experience & Knowledge

4.At least 3 years related working experience in material lab or relative area, know well about different testing method & operation of metal material.

5.Master or equivalent and major in Material Engineering(Metal) or Metallurgy.

6.Knows well about raw material and heat-treating process in automotive area.

7.Be familiar with sheet metal forming processes (stamping, rolling, blanking, etc) and welding process.

Know about the knowledge of eco-design in automotive area, such as ELV, REACH, ROHS, IMD, CAMDS and so on.
