Working within the JV Manufacturing Engineering team, the Stampings Process Engineer will be responsible for the support and delivery of a number of stampings programmes for the JV. This will involve a number of foreign and Chinese-based suppliers and feature a mix of technical skills and efficient project management.

1. Work with the Project Manager and Purchase to define the optimum split of packages of work to be offered to each diemaker

2. Develop a master schedule and manage the timing of all major phases, from process, design through manufacture to delivery, installation and commissioning of dies in the JV press shop.

3. Work closely with the press manufacturer (through the JV stamping facility engineer), automation suppliers and internal suppliers/customers such as PD and BIW to ensure the dies will achieve all running, maintenance and product quality targets

5. Report out to the wider team on progress of the stamping project, through the use of charts, tables and graphs within presentations

6. Lead the buy-off of dies at the toolmaker and commissioning in the home line, such that panels of the right quality can be produced in a timely fashion and dies are delivered in a state that allows long-term maintainability and the production of consistent parts.

7. Work closely with all areas during the launch phase to improve the overall quality of the product through making improvements to panels, during the pre-build phases and specific programmes, such as PCF.
