PRIMARY FUNCTION

Provides administrative support to the color department, including follow up on lab dip submissions for local office. Measures color submits in the spectrophotometer for review with Supervisor. Files and maintains record of approved dips.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Lab Dip Submissions

· Receives color flowcharts from local Market Representative (MR).

· Forwards spectral data for non-engineered color standards to vendors and mills for lab dipping reference.

· Follows up with vendors and mills on all lab dip submissions.

· Checks submit forms for correct color and order details upon receipt from vendors.

· Sends packages for lab dip submits and approved dips to the respective client's color office.

· Checks weekly color WIP and updates system for any duplicate system dip reports.

Evaluation of Lab Dip Submits

· Measures lab dips relative to their standards using the spectrophotometer.

· Works with Color Specialist to review spectral readings for approval or rejection.

· When revised dips and FSRRs are received, retrieves submit history for spectral and visual comparison.

· Helps to communicate color results to MRs, vendors and mills.

· Files all approved dips according to color or vendor/mill.

Miscellaneous

· Using the spectrophotometer, measures bulk fabrics for clients relative to standard as part of the bulk fabric prescreen, or to approved dip as part of the bulk approval process, as appropriate.

· Works with Color Specialist to review bulk spectral readings for approval or rejection.
