Role Responsibilities:

Key Activities:

-Contribute effectively in project activities including demonstrating successful selfmanagement skills

(1)Understand drivers for work and product requirements in relation to business

needs

(2)Carry out experimental and standard paint manufacture, QA and application, paint

and related materials testing under direction of the line manager, to meet

work/project needs

(3)Implement work programmes agreed with line manager

Develop proposals/recommendations for experiments

(4)Effectively report results, propose conclusions and recommendations within

agreed timescales using appropriate methods

(5)Participate with factory on batch supervisions and pilot plant manufacture as

required

(6)Participate in trials (e.g. field/application, production processes, equipment),

under supervision as required

-Contribute toward Improvement Projects to effect changes as required

-Demonstrate commitment and responsibility to integrity and ethics

-Undertake additional activities as required, within the scope of the role

Requirements to be able to perform the Job:

Knowledge and Skills:

-Ability to pass basic verbal/numerical/problem solving tests

-Understanding of the basic concepts of chemistry/science

-Ability to plan and complete work programmes as directed by line management

-Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly as part of a team and independently when required

-Ability to produce written communication including reports and data

-Ability to participate in verbal communication situations including meetings, group discussions and presentations

-Ability to use MS Outlook for e-mail and other PC applications as directed

Education,Qualifications, Licences & Registrations:

Chemistry/Material Sciences Bachelor

Experience:

Some laboratory experience would be advantageous
