Job Summary:
This person is within passive NPI group with a solid optical background and problem-solving capability. The person needs to work with different function teams to support a smooth transfer from design to manufacture, define the optical requirement of the optical system, and perform tolerance analysis. The person should have a strong understanding of optics and application in communication systems, as well as good interpersonal skills, also he/she needs to work under pressure.
Responsibilities:
1.Support the product transfer from new design to manufacture, solve the technical issue and design issue
2.Setup analytical models for transferred products, perform tolerance analysis based on product requirement
3.Interact with product and process team to continue product performance and reliability improvement
4.Design of experiment to verify the design/process/material issue
5.Deep understanding of the product optical requirement and the application in systems
6.Able to communicate between different sites to support the optical problem solving
Qualifications and Experience:
1.M.S or B.S. in Optics, Electro-optics, Physics or Electrical Engineering with strong optics and fiber optic background.
2.Working experience in optical communication, Optoelectronics device, and related industries
3.Must be self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision.
4.Team spirit and good interpersonal skills
5.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English desired.
6.Ability to use optical simulation tools programming such as Zemax, and to characterize prototypes.
7.Strong problem-solving capabilities on optical design and process optimization: polarization optics simulation, hermetical sealing process, adhesive process, thermal insulation.
