Job Title: Sr Manager - Vendor Management Global Delivery, China
Work Location: Chongqing, China

Group and Job Purpose
Vendor Management is a key group which partners with business and sub-con Partners to drive results that support key business objectives of: excellent outsourcing, customer satisfaction, cost effectiveness, operational excellence, metrics management, and consistent delivery to end users. This function always innovates with various business process models to support business agility as per business growth and demand.
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated professional who can ‘see’ the big picture and be able to translate priorities into actionable plan for Global Delivery Center. This is a key Vendor & Procurement Mgmt. position within one of the fastest growing sub in MS.

Primary Job Functions

-Partner Relationship /Management
Identifying and on-board partners based on the workload and skill required as per business projections.
Owning and driving strategic relationships with outsource partners at an executive level, ensuring completeness and accuracy of Master Contracts and Pricing including Statement of Work development, Amendments and Vendor Service Agreements while working with appropriate vendor contacts and LCA teams. Coordinate Strategic Business reviews with project and vendor teams. Providing seamless communications between project teams, Vendors and supporting functions such as Finance & Operations will be imperative.
-Program Management
Manage and align with business goals and see the big picture. This Key role will implement and take the right decisions at the right time with the right partner.
-Innovative Business Management and Models
Define/Develop Key Business models with partners in lines with GD Business model like CPP.
Focus on strategic relationship with Vendor Companies and supply vendors, improving productivity, cross skilling, Staffing guidance to customers/stakeholders
Drive innovative analysis to highlight improvement areas
Exchange information and best practices with other world-wide areas and business teams on issues such as local business trends, on-going projects and concerns
Continuously provide guidance to help improve efficiency through analysis and reporting processes, whilst continuing to manage and meet business partners’ expectations
-Execution Excellence
Look at Innovation and Contribute to systems and tools design/improvements for both Business process models and alignment with Key business partners.

Role in Business Process
-This section should describe the job’s roles and responsibilities in the business process.
-Key Strategic Business partnerships between GD partners and GD. Decision making framework which provides key elements on choosing the right partner for the right skill at the right time. Moving from Strategic business decision making to Business Innovative models will be the right role.
-This position covers all GD Partners aligned to Microsoft Global Delivery wide global pool of talent and their alignment to support Microsoft Services shared resourcing business model.
-Decisions on right partner for right skill makes the right staffing for the business, appropriateness of proactive business models for the galloping growth of business is critical to this role and to the overall GD Business Partner Strategy. Decisions on timeliness for escalations related to problem solving is critical and to make the partner and GD win-win with their individual business goals.
-Responsible and Accountable for defining/ designing a strategy from a menu of offerings. Responsible for implementing Global Model partner strategies for large scale engagement.
-This position should move its focus to Strategic partnership alliances through which one can implement proactive business models like CPP and effectively manage partner alliances. Build partner Alliances by leveraging MS levers.
-This position may be required to manage a team of outsourced suppliers, vendors and consultants that support the -Partner Vendor Management team specific to Global Delivery.
-This position requires frequent interaction with all levels of Delivery Leadership, Delivery Engagement Managers, Global Procurement Groups, Global Partner Account Managers and various functions at GD and appointed GD Partners/Vendors. Interaction will be with Senior Management, Services Groups and Engagement and Resourcing Management, International and Domestic Executive Directors, Business Leaders, Global Delivery Finance and various internal functions. Also required to liaise with other Microsoft departments (international and domestic) in a consultative capacity.
-This position requires frequent interaction and oversight of external vendors, auditors, and consultants. Position will be required to establish and maintain strong relations with vendors. GD Stakeholders and GPG, SMSP.
-Key stakeholders include International and Domestic Partner Organizations, Analytics Business Leaders, SMSP Executive teams, TAMs, GD Executive leadership.
-This position should be a business partner to implement key decision framework in partner management and would ideally wanted to be a trusted advisor in the days to come.
-Cost management through program delivery and minimizing vendor/supplier costs.
-Develop cost models for business and Partners with a positive impact to business.

Qualification
-10 -12 years of demonstrated relevant experience in Vendor and Partner Management.
-Post-Graduation, any specific diploma in this space.
-Strong management skills and a demonstrated ability to drive the effective implementation of procedures and policies to support operational business requirements across regional and organizational boundaries.
-A demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively (oral and written), establishes trust quickly, and creates win-win situations.
-Experience in working in multiple organizations with emphasis on communicating and decision making with demonstrated ability to work under pressure. Must be motivated by interdependency.
-Team player with ability to manage cross-cultural groups and cross-country boundaries.
