WELDING ENGINEER
Primary responsibility
- Work in Singapore
- Responsible for formulation and testing of weld procedures.
- Monitoring of existing weld procedures.
- Advising and implementing new weld process, interpret of customer's requirements at bid stage
- Involved in material selection in relation to product and client's requirements..
- Accountable for development of new Welding Procedure Specifications and proposing new WPS for customer review and approval
- Train welders and welding inspectors on weld failure analysis and eliminating weld defect problems
- Qualify and maintain welding qualifications
- Assist Shop floor to analyse and solve welding problems
- Perform all other duties as required
- Familiar with auto TIG welding machine (POLYSOUDE) programming, operation and maintenance
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 8 years relevant welding engineering experience; preferably in heatexchanger industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Welding/Metallurgical Engineering or equivalent
- Knowledge in ASME, AWS, ISO, API codes
- Certified Welding Engineer is desirable
- Thorough understanding of quality principles, standards, internal business systems and processes etc
- Fluencyt in English
