Job Description:

1. Deliver comprehensive schematic design packages and provide design support through the completion of projects

2. Review and process site information and interpret Landlord criteria to adequately design specific stores

3. Prepare floor plans and storefront elevations ensuring conformance to design guidelines and brand strategy

4. Prepare sketches, perspective views, elevations and details as necessary in support of your design solution to facilitate presentation

5. Present designs at weekly design review meetings and/or to senior leadership team and rationalize your design decisions in a convincing manner

6. Consult with internal build project manager on construction documents and shop drawings for adherence to design standards

7. Partners/Negotiates with licensee to ensure brand integrity is upheld (ie storefront proposals; finish approvals, fixture shop drawing approvals)

8. Apply a broad understanding fixtures, hardware and materials and their impact on merchandise set up

9. Apply a broad understanding of the concept design development process and manage initial concept through the completion. Actively propose new ideas, materials, details, and fixtures to support the growth of the brand

10. Travel as necessary to provide on-site design support, familiarize with construction details, and to evaluate end solutions


Job Requirements:
1. Fluent In English and Mandarin ?-5-7 years of experience in retail design in a corporate environment or in a design consultancy firm
2. Autocad proficient and demonstrated space planning skills
3. Demonstrated creative abilities and applied problem-solving skills
4. Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills
5. Photoshop, Indesign, hand sketching and rendering skills are necessary for executive presentations
6. Strong abilities to work in a team setting and achieve results through collaboration and sharing
7. Proven ability to meet all project deadlines in an environment of change, speed, and shifting priorities
8. Proven ability to self-manage and demonstrate high level of professional maturity?-Strong ability to negotiate and influence licensee's decisions to ensure Brand standards are met

EDUCATION:
Bachelor of Science in Architecture, Industrial Design or Interior Design from an accredited institution.
