Main Objectives

This person will be a key pillar of the China Management Team and join a small but growing team in creating the right strategy for us in China. Technology areas that we are keen to develop capabilities on include Cloud and Mobile. Reporting to the Country Manager – China and Group CTO, this individual is responsible for presales support, solutioning and implementing the product road map and technical operations in China. He will work with the Country Manager, Group CTO, China BD Manager and Group Product Manager to create the right product strategy for China. In addition, he holds the very important responsibility of the overall management of our technical service staff and core IT infrastructure to ensure that our high levels of customer satisfaction are maintained for all Technical Services.

Key Accountabilities

· Pre-sales support and Solutioning

· Designing and Implementing the China Product Roadmap

· Designing and implementing the desired SLA for China Managed Hosting / Cloud services

· Manage a team of technical staff to provide technical support service to our customer and internal users.

· Responsible for all aspects of the technical infrastructure

· Oversee and coordinate lifecycle management for our infrastructure (both hardware and software)

· Participate as a member of the IT Infrastructure & Operations management team in creating and maintaining the governance processes of the organization’s infrastructure architecture, data centres, telecommunications, networks, communications systems and client engineering.

· Under the general direction of the group CTO, work with other managers to develop IT infrastructure strategies and data centre planning to achieve firm business goals by prioritizing technology initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future technologies.

· Continually evaluate the current state of the firm’s infrastructure architecture and services against firm goals and objectives, and adapt operational strategies to maintain alignment.

· Contribute to the design and execution of the enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan.

· Define requirements for new technology implementations and communicate them to key business stakeholders.

· Manage and monitor annual budgets and expenditures of the technical service team

· Implement and coordinate the creation of technical service procedures, policies, and manuals.

· Creatively and independently provide resolution to technical problems in a cost-effective manner.

· Coach and mentor engineers to facilitate ongoing career growth and development

Qualifications and Skills

· Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related discipline is required. Master degree preferred

· Must have 10 + years of IT work experience, developing and implementing technology solutions (software and hardware)

· Must have 5+ years of leadership experience in managing and/or directing IT operational teams.

· Good Pre-sales and Solutioning Skills around Cloud, Mobility, security and networking

· Good understanding / working experience in Networking, and Cloud services technologies

· Software development experience will be a plus

· Experience in related IT disciplines, such as network engineering, database administration, computer operations and production support.

· Process Oriented with a knowledge of a best practice methodology like ITIL, and practical experience in ITSM tools

· Ability to lead cross functional project teams in implementing projects of a complex nature.

· Functional understanding of project management principles.

· Demonstrated ability to apply technology solutions to business problems.

· Good written and spoken communication skills in both English and Mandarin and the ability to mentor others.
