Rovi Consumer Electronic Products and Solutions are highly strategic to many digital businesses around the globe. The select candidate will taking on an important role for building strategic relationship and selling to both established leaders in the space as well as leading-edge upstart companies. The position will require using a solution-sales approach to selling Rovi’s embedded, cloud and SDK based technologies to high volume consumer electronics companies (IC/ODM/OEM) throughout Greater China and South Asia regions.
The Senior Sales Director, APAC will serve as our primary representative to engage and close product sales and compliance deals. He/She will be responsible for product solution sales and compliance activities as well as helping to develop and protect Rovi Eco-System through strong business partnerships with various players along the industry value chain. This position is based in Shanghai office.

THE EVERYDAY VIEW
The Sales Director, APAC for Rovi will be the lead individual responsible for driving Rovi product and solution sales & marketing through the Asia Pacific region. Specifically, the person who fills this position will be expected to:
?Act as main global coordinator with global sales teams relating to CE Accounts based in Greater China and South Asia regions.
?Identify and segment key markets, sectors, and brands; revenue generation; revenue forecasting, lead qualification and prioritization.
?Manage customer relationships of all assigned accounts
?Formulate and execute the end-to-end account strategy for responsible sales forecast and delivering sales targets
?Investigate and negotiate compliance activities in protecting Rovi Eco-System
?Additionally, responsibilities include general support of the overall sales organization and business development activities.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
?10+ years of sales, business development or account management experience in a consumer electronic or integrated chip company, or a relevant hardware or multimedia software technology companies.
?Exceptional market knowledge, particularly as it pertains to the consumer electronics technology licensing and product sales & marketing
?Some knowledge of video CODEC, DRM, EPG, metadata, cloud service, network advertising, and media recognition businesses/technologies
?Established contacts with CE, IC and multimedia software companies in the Asia-Pacific region
?Previous track record of sales experience with outstanding success relative to goals and objectives
?The ability to process complex requirements and business situations into opportunities to generate revenue and drive strategic objectives
?A deep understanding of both Chinese and U.S. corporate cultures with the ability to work fluently in either
?Self-starter, an entrepreneurial spirit; i.e. the ability to achieve personal results without the benefit of an established system or extensive corporate support
?Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, fluid and high growth environment
?A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Marketing or a related field is required; MBA is a plus
?Native Chinese speaker, fluent with simplified Chinese, familiar with China business environment
?Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
