ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
?Provide 3D/2D design, drawing and release according to customer input and engineering input.
?Manage individual new product development projects and coordinate activities with various internal customers.
?Develop manufacturable designs and coordinate with tooling sources for constructions & verification
?Create assembly, component layout and details to verify manufacturing feasibility
?Apply GD&T with respect to processing and checking the components
?Create / participate in creation and review of design and process FMEA’s
?Work with Model Shop / tool sources to verify tool and / or part construction (Verify and establish operational boundary conditions)
?Assist with test validation
?Develop and maintain requirements books and best practices library
?Assist manufacturing facilities in design and applications of gages and fixtures
?Establish and maintain integrated working relationship with Tenneco Automotive, Europe.
?Interface with suppliers and research development centers to research and develop new product design and technology concepts.
?Anticipate and analyze customers’ needs for new technologies and formulate a recommendation for their design and development.
?Perform and lead new product analysis and evaluation (including predictive performance).
?Conduct DOE to prove out new products, processes, and technologies.
?Prepare, codify, and publish design guidelines and supporting documentation.
?Attend training sessions, seminars, and conferences to expand job knowledge and skills repertoire.
?Champion bench-marking initiatives and integrate their findings into appropriate areas of Tenneco Automotive.
?Provide technical support and assistance to the manufacturing, quality, development, and program staff.
?Prepare and present technical reports in-house and to the technical community.
?Support and adhere to TA EH&S policies and procedures
?Perform other duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
?Bachelor of mechanical engineering with 2 years design experience in Automotive industry
?Extensive experience in CAD software of Catia V5.
?Extensive experience in tool and manufacturing process development
?In-depth knowledge of CAD and functional application of GD&T
?Self-motivated with good written and verbal communication skills both in English and Chinese
?Excellent computer skills required
