POSITION SUMMARY

Conduct structural NVH and durability analyses using FEA on current and new products to provide design direction and verification.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

? Create and analyze finite element models consistent with product use environment.
? Generate technical reports and present to internal and external customers.
? Verify (Correlate) simulation results with testing. Demonstrate agreement of simulation with actual measurement.
? Develop and implement optimization tools to expedite the product development process
? Work closely with business unit engineers and communicate between our organization and customer as needed.
? Support Product Development Cycle and APQP (DFMEA, etc.)
? Participate in the development of improved design guidelines consistent with customer requirements.
? Applies engineering and problem solving methods and tools (FMEAs, 8ds, stress analysis) in resolving engineering design problems.
? Perform appropriate level of CAD function to develop design concept.
？ Support and adhere to TA EH&S policies and procedures.
? Other duties as assigned


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

? Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Advanced Degree a plus.
? Min 2 years of Finite Element Analysis and CAD experience required.
? Prior experience with structural NVH, Durability, optimization and automotive exhaust product development strongly preferred, total 5 years experience, or 3 years plus Advanced Degree.
? Experience using the following tools also preferred:
HyperMesh/ HyperWork, MSC/NASTRAN, I-DEAS, UG or Catia experience a plus
? Strong written and verbal communication skills required.





REQUIREMENTS
