We are currently seeking Assistant Managers with experience in finance and accounting, IT or supply chain management to join the Integration and Separation Advisory team in either our Shanghai, Beijing or Hong Kong office.
As part of KPMG's Transaction and Restructuring (T&R) group, the rapidly expanding Integration & Separation Advisory practice advises some of the largest international and domestic Chinese clients with merger, acquisition and divestiture support, with particular focus on:
· Pre-close integration (and separation) planning: helping clients understand integration risks in areas such as: financial management, corporate governance, human resources, IT systems, customers and supply chains; identifying the corresponding integration costs; identifying and validating deal synergy assumptions; and planning for the post-deal operational integration
· Post-close execution: helping clients plan for the "Day 1" closing day; planning for the first 100 days post-closing with a focus on realizing synergies and key value drivers; and stabilizing the business operations
Through involvement in integration projects, prospective candidates would develop in-depth understandings of companies from an operational perspective and gain exposure/insights into a wide range of business issues that are brought to surface when companies merge or separate.
Responsibilities:
· Assist with the creation and development of proposals
· Support engagement teams in execution focusing on finance, IT and or supply chain management
· Assist the engagement manager to assess a target companies risk areas
· Assist the engagement manager to develop corresponding mitigation strategies
· Assist the engagement manager to develop and execute the integration work plans, identify improvement areas, identify/escalate/resolve integration issues
· Support the engagement manager to create quality work products
· Support the engagement manager to manage the Project Management Office, monitoring engagement scope and costs
· Maintain relationship with client personnel
Experience:
· Two to three years of work experience in audit or advisory
· Good understanding of the M&A process
· Excellent problem solving, facilitation and interpersonal skills
· Good time management and project management skills
· Strong knowledge and experience using the basic Microsoft Office applications (including Excel, PPT and Word)
· Excellent verbal and written communications skills in both Chinese (putonghua) and English
· Enthusiasm to work as part of a team to meet aggressive client deadlines in a fast paced environment
· Willingness to travel
