Overview

KPMG offers an extensive range of compliance and advisory services to international organisations to help them control the cost of transferring employees between their home countries and China.
It covers the development of policies and related remuneration packages, cross-border solutions between mainland China, reviews of international assignment programs, pensions, tax, human resources advice, completion of tax returns for assignees and advanced technology-based solutions. The IES client portfolio ranges from large multinational companies to local start-ups.
We are now seeking high-calibre tax professionals to fulfil the role of Tax Assistant Manager to support the continued growth of our IES team in Shanghai. The ideal candidate will bring a commercial and analytical mind and have very strong written and spoken English skills. Knowledge of the China tax system is essential.

Responsibilities
·Prepare correspondence for companies with inbound and outbound employees
·Assist in conducting tax research relating to expatriate employees
·Prepare miscellaneous tax, payroll and international assignment cost projection calculations
·Prepare tax returns, equalization calculations and other miscellaneous tax forms for expatriate employees
·Deal with tax authority enquiries in an effective manner
·Apply a good understanding of Chinese tax legislation to client issues
·Coach junior members of staff to help them achieve their goals. They will also review and manage their staff's work
·Regularly expand their knowledge of the tax business and keep up-to-date with the latest business and current affairs as it relates to their clients
Experience

·Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
·Minimum of 3 years' experience in expatriate or individual income tax
·Ability to analyse basic tax and accounting information
·Possess presentation skills with an excellent command of spoken and written English. Local language skills are a plus
·Possess good client relationship skills
·Self-starter and good team player
