Overview:

Responsibilities:

?Provide advisory services to clients on a wide range of China import / export related issues including Customs valuation, classification, processing trade, duty free importation, and special Customs zones
?Draft and prepare reports, presentations and other deliverables related to projects
?Participate in discussions/interviews with the senior level management of client companies throughout the engagements

Experience and Knowledge:

?Bachelor or Master degree in economics, law, taxation, or business;
?CPA, Licensed Customs Broker, China Certified Tax Agent or advanced law degree would be a plus
?Minimum 2 years of China related Customs and trade experience with industry in a multinational corporation; or from advisory, with an international law firm, public accounting firm, or consulting firm
?Fluent English and Chinese, both written and spoken
?Knowledge of China import and export related regulations and practice
?Knowledge of WTO customs valuation rules, the Harmonized System code and preferential/non-preferential Rules of Origin (free trade agreements)
?The ability to deliver concise advice on technical customs and trade issues to non-customs personnel
?Ability to communicate effectively with both foreign and local clients on technical customs issues
