Reporting to the VP – Global Operations, this position will assume overall management and operational responsibility of the company's performance in the regions (Hong Kong China, Shanghai, Southern China, Korea, etc) including New Product Introduction (NPI), Quality and Supplier Management, Manufacturing Facilities Development as well as Logistics Management.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Perform as a person-in-charge in Asia Operations and work very closely with US Operation / Asia’s Sourcing team to set up the manufacturing facilities / assembly line in the regions.

-Manage the quality engineering, logistic and related supply chain operations in Asia Pacific regions from new product development, concurrent engineering support, parts / products quality assurance as well as production efficiency enhancement.

-Drive operational excellence and deploy best practices across all operational aspects to meet business target and ensuring rigorous compliance with local legislation of customer’s requirement in Asia Pacific regions.

-Work closely with the Asia’s Sourcing team to manage all existing supplier relationships and new suppliers development by setting clear goals, standards and expectations as well as resolving production and quality issues in a fair and equitable manner.

-Work with US Project Engineering and work closely with the Asia suppliers and provide engineering supports to improve production efficiency / manufacturability especially for new product development and cost reduction project.

-Facilitate the communication between Design Studio, Project Engineering Team, Quality Team and Suppliers to establish effective relationship and obtain the best overall value-added solutions from both internal and external parties.

- Generate, review and distributes Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports associated with Quality, Compliance and Supplier management.


QUALIFICATIONS:

- Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management / Business Administration or above, with professional training in Mechanical Engineering / Production Management will be an advantage.

- At least 15 years experience in sourcing, supplier chain and / or production management in sizable organization, in which over 10 years in senior management position. Knowledge and experience in technical / manufacturing facilities setup are essential.

- Proven track record of managing a diversified team as well as an understanding of PRC market, prior experience of Lean Manufacturing preferred.

- Strong problem-solving and excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills.

- Excellent verbal, written and communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all internal functions, customers and suppliers as necessary.
