GENERAL SUMMARY:

Deploy and manage mission critical systems running on Solaris/Linux.

Development works based on the customer’s requirements use different programming languages. Take the full responsibilities for his own assignment

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Identify and resolve more than 95% issues proactively with system monitoring tool

- Effectively follow change management guidelines for all the changes made to the production and pre-production systems.

- Provide 12/7 on-call systems operational support on rotation basis.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1) Competencies: Skills, Knowledge, Abilities

- Ability to articulate advanced technical topics (e.g. process scheduling, disk and file system I/O, kernel internals, TCP/IP communications at all levels).

- Basic knowledge on FTP, HTTP and DNS required

- Ability to work on multiple projects and reprioritize as needed

- Advanced Veritas Volume Manager (VxVM) experience and VERITAS Cluster Server (VCS) or other High-availability service a plus

- SAN experience on 50+ TB of storage across multiple subsystems. Hitachi Data Systems is a plus.

- Familiar with BMC BladeLogic or CA Workload is a plus.

- Good oral and written English

2) Experience:

2+ years of system administration experience on Linux/Solaris.

1+ year Shell scripting (Bourne, Awk, Sed, etc.) experience is required.

1+year Perl scripting experience is required, and Python is a plus.

3) Minimum educational level:

B.S. in computer science or equivalent experience.
