Role Summary/Purpose

The Program Leader is responsible for developing and leading a Team of mechanical engineers and analytical engineers to identify the customer shop cost issue and provide technical solution for cost reduction and longer TOW (time on wing) with big data analytics.

Essential Responsibilities

Provide leadership and technical direction to airlines customer for shop visit cost reduction and longer TOW.
• Identify the customer key shopvisit driver and shopvisit cost driver.
• Establish a plan / program, define objective, and identify resources
• Manage the program / project, provide interim reports to customer, modify plan as required
• Provide counsel to team on shop issue
• Effectively communicate with the customer to assure a quality product is delivered
• Demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives.
• Integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise
• Involvment in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy

Qualifications/Requirements

• Engineering Bachelor degree from an accredited university or college
• Must have 5+ years engineering experience in an aircraft/engine design, maintenance and overhaul company.
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

Desired Characteristics

• Powerplant engineer in an overhaul shop
• or powerplant engineer in airlines with engine overhaul and workscope experience.
• Strong data analytics experience. Six sigma certified is desired.
• Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams
