Position Title: HR Manager, Asia

Location: Shanghai, China

Reports to: Asia President

Scope:

The HR Manager Asia is chiefly responsible to provide broad HR strategic leadership, will be delivery focused and provide long-term vision for the Asia business. He or she should have broad functional knowledge of HR, culture and organizational change and is an experienced Senior HR Manager responsible for leading multiple projects. He or she is responsible for managing the implementation of the Firm's HR strategy within Asia, in terms of staff allocation, appraisal, mentoring and development. He or she should also manage staff allocation to projects, therein balancing assignment requirements, individual’s development needs and business considerations. Main responsibilities as below:

• Establishing appropriate HR measurements/metrics
• HR input into business planning
• Continuous HR process improvements:
• Work with other Regional HR Managers/ Directors and the Global Core to constantly improve processes and service delivery quality;
• Implement standardized, cost-efficient HR services and best practices
• Manage and report on projects as required by the Asia management team
• Build and grow the HR capabilities
• Crisis management
• Develop and manage HR policies and procedures
• Develop compensation strategies
• Review of contracts for employees and sub-contractors

·Coordinates staffing of resources onto assignments in region:

o Proactively reaches out to partners and staff in the region to be the natural point person for staffing related matters;

o Stays tuned with business situation and staff /skill requirements from different types of assignment;

o Proposes staffing solutions, supported by solid line of argumentation;

o Balances assignment requirements, individual’s development needs and business considerations (billability, utilization, priorities)

o Teams with other staffing managers in matching resource supply and demand across geographies and allow best practice exchange

o Monitors capacity intake and outflows on a regular basis

• Initiates counseling and manages any transitioning staff
• Input into global HR projects and procedures

The successful candidate will have the following personal attributes:

· Bachelor Degree or above

· Excellent English capability in both oral and written

· With at least 8 years of HR generalist experience gained in a multi-national environment at a management level

· Experience in automobile field is preferred

· Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills and demonstrated ability to command respect and trust of the senior team and staff when negotiating staffing decisions
