Objectives:

- Develop and Implement an Intellectual Property strategy, aligned with Global, Regional, and Country strategies, supporting & protecting BASF’s brand and IP in the Chinese market. Investigate illegal activities, and implement measures of enforcement to mitigate.


Main tasks:
Responsible for the monitoring and reporting of illegal activities related to Intellectual Property Rights and Management. Responsible for developing and leading a strategy for IPR and IPM in the country China, and performing key tasks liaising with AP Global IPR.

- Monitoring Key trademarks on TMO website and in the market;
- Monitoring Key Patents on SIPO websites and in the market;
- Monitoring infringements on B2B, B2C websites and in the market
- Information screening and follow up to become useful clues
- Establish good relationship with related authorities (ie. ICAMA, CCPIA, Customs, MIIT, NATESC, AIC & PSB etc.)
- Communication and advocacy
- Liason with Global Marketing and Global IP:
1) Be the "voice" of AP-China; represent China in regular communication with Global
2) supporting documents for ongoing investigation on quick notice
3) support for preparation and conduct enforcement campaigns on trade-fairs (two annual Shanghai Fairs, next in March 2014)
4) report new cases of potential category I / II to the team
5) report CropLife China Activities to the team
6) sample shipment (samples from AP-China cases cat III (from time to time) / samples from ongoing investigation
7) internet monitoring
8) monitoring of companies, which own patent applications, for which we would like to take action (anonymous)
lead responsibility for "category III cases" [short explanation: category I and II cases = lead: global task force, significant financial impact also on F500 global, deep dive investigation; category III cases = mere local interest AP-China, "quick" enforcement approach, no deep dive investigation


Requirements:
- Education: University Degree
- Working Experience: Preferably 3-5 years working experience (2 years in multinational company); preferably within Agro industry
- Technical & Professional Knowledge: Background knowledge on IP; IP management is preferred but not required. English proficiency is a must
