The ideal candidate will be a professional with an experienced background in writing macroeconomic, insurance industry, competitive and regulatory environment research. The research analyst is principally responsible for interpreting data, formulating reports and making recommendations based upon the research findings.
1. Reviews, analyzes and interprets economic data from various vendors to prepare professional reports and recommendations detailing results of performed research.
2. Authoring country and company specific reports containing actionable recommendations and conclusions.
3. Analyzing, reporting and developing recommendations based on company and peer analysis.
4. Conducting in-depth data analysis using traditional and advanced methods.
5. Other ad-hoc projects as they arise

Requirements:

1. Bachelor degree or higher from top University in one of the following areas: Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or Business.
2. CFA candidate a plus.
3. Two to five years of experience working in macroeconomic research, sell-side equity research or strategic planning in the financial services industry. Preferably with experience at a property & casualty insurance company or related consulting firm.
4. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English - Proficiency in additional languages a plus (Spanish, Mandarin) but not required.
5. Excellent quantitative and analytical skills.
6. Good interpersonal skill, strong sense of responsibility and ability to work with limited supervision and under tight deadlines.
