Job Purpose :

The BD manager for online business is responsible for the development and execution of effective and sustainable business strategies to build our Writing business (mainly our category leader PARKER brand) in e-commerce channels, through online platforms of existing retail partners as well as through pure online players, in respect our PARKER and other Writing brands positioning and global strategy, . As part of the engagement efforts, the position holder is to be expected to conduct periodic business reviews with e- retailers, provide full visibility of our power brand’s performance within their on-line stores and cooperate to build strong sell through supporting programmes

Overview:

To support all NPD in relation to textile product in cross segment manner and to ensure 100% launch process is executed

To evaluate supplier’s technical capability in textile technology and to support factory’s quality system and processes improvement

To solve any quality problem in the most efficient and quickest manner and to prevent recurrence of same issue.

To train internal quality staff in the area of textile technology

Main Responsibilities:

Support NPD for textile related project including new supplier assessment

Applying engineering principles and analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve manufacturing processes and products

Responsible for problem solving, troubleshooting and providing technical support to the Engineering , Quality and Global Sourcing Teams and assisting vendors with manufacturing problems and quality issues. Takes an active role in helping to solve quality problems and designing process controls relating to textile materials.

Assists in the development of standard operating procedures; process manuals; BOM’s; and develops routers Works with Purchasing and vendors on raw material issues and documents physical properties of materials used.

Qualifications:

4 years university degree in Textile Engineering or Textile Technology
5+ years’ experience in manufacturing field for textile product preferably for commercial goods
2+ years’ experience in buying office environment as Supplier quality leader / manager in textile field
Sound knowledge in fiber and polymer and the strong knowledge of manufacturing process of textile product. Can be capable to give technical solution to supplier for product quality improvement.
Understanding of the sequence of operations necessary to perform production of MF
Participates in PFMEAs, process validation; error proofing as needed Uses Lean Manufacturing techniques (5s, SMED, Poka-Yoke) for continual improvement Participates in APQP / Corrective Actions
Experience in product performance specifications and ASTM /AATCC standards.
Proven ability to successfully execute projects in a team environment.
Strong skill in SPC
