Introduction:
- This engineer position is in Shanghai Siemens Medical Equipment Ltd. we are looking for a Process Design, Staff Engineer at the earliest opportunity.
What are my responsibilities?
1. Translate product specifications for batch manufacturing with scales from 1 to 5000 liters into process requirements;
2. Identify all process inputs/outputs; identify the customers for every output, and understand their needs;
3. Identify the suppliers for every input and impose specifications
4. Understand cause & effect relationships between process parameters and product performance;
5. Identify critical to quality (CTQ) process parameters; identify potential process failure modes & implement risk mitigations
6. Identify all process CTQ measurement points; define all process CTQ warning and control limits, define data collection plan, develop response plan for out of control situations
7. Process Validation: Verify performance against Process requirements. Validate performance against product specifications
What do I need to qualify for this job?
- Bachelor in Chemical Engineering or BioChemical Engineering, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification may be required in some areas.
- Demonstrates and applies comprehensive knowledge of field of specialization to the successful completion of complex assignments.
- Demonstrates advanced knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization.
- Demonstrates significant knowledge of organization's business practices and issues faced and contributes to problem resolution of those issues.
- Typically 8-10 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above. advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Experience working in regulated industry such as ISO 9000, cGMP
- Batch process engineering experience in manufacturing/Industrial environment
- Experience leading problem solving activities with formal methodologies
- Strong competence in Six Sigma; Lean; Continuous improvement tools
- Experience in generation of validation protocols, reports and execution
- Experience with Process FMEA/Risk Analysis development
- Experience leading successful cross functional teams
- Fluent oral and written English
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Liquid reagent manufacturing experience
- Experience in Pharmaceutical or Biologics industry
- Leadership of FMEA/Risk Analysis development
