-For our Energy in Shanghai we are looking for a Engineering Manager as Team Leader at the earliest opportunity.

What are my responsibilities?
A) Pre-acquisition phase and early Project execution phase:
- Support country Procurement during pre-acquisition (technical procurement)
- Screen local supply market together with local Supply Chain Management
- Support the Centers of Technology in supplier qualification processes
- Attend and perform audits at suppliers
- Analyze customer specification (in-house or external Customers), find optimized solutions and minimize risks in order to ensure a competitive bid based on proven concepts
- Evaluate supplier offers
- Clarify open items in between the involved Parties, i.e. Suppliers, Procurement and Engineering both local as well as in our Headquarters in order to achieve a best cost basis for best price Power Station Offers
B) Project execution phase:
- Manage and expedite Contracts with local suppliers in order to achieve the three goals of Project Execution: SCHEDULE, COSTS and QUALITY in alignment with the Project Teams
- Lead, prepare and participate in technical meetings In order to achieve these targets the Manager Procurement Engineering must:
- Reconciliate own team resources with existing and upcoming Project works
- If required recruit new engineering personnel according to business needs in agreement with the Head of Engineering in Erlangen Headquarters
- Train new hired personnel in alignment with Headquarters needs in Erlangen with regard to technical expertise as well as in communication and other soft skills

What do I need to qualify for this job?
-University Degree in Engineering
-5 years of experience in a similar role
-Experience in leadership and line management
-Substantial turn key power plant experience - ideally this should include service in a foreign country.
-High level of expertise in all fields of power plant engineering, broad base of experience in project management and contract management as well as experience in solving complex problems.
-Sensitivity towards other cultures in the respective countries (i.e. mostly Germany, Austria, The Netherlands, United States, Korea,…)
-Personality in leadership
-Team Player
-Excellent communication skills
-Mediation skills
-Initiative
-Precise in talking and writing
-Result and quality driven
-Excellent knowledge of technical English language (in writing and speaking)

-Chinese language fluently spoken as well as in writing and reading
