Responsibilities will include
? Electrical design including microprocessor system from concept through to production. Schematic capture, simulation, PCB layout.
? Embedded software development in C
? Design and pass appropriate EMC requirements
? Generate innovative product concepts/solutions
? Develop functional specifications for new products
? Prepare and release of component specifications and Bill of Materials.
? Product test speciation including writing the spec and implementing tests
? Managing / coordinating engineering changes and maintain detailed design records
? Coordinate/organize prototype builds, fault finding, samples tracking, and field evaluation for NPD
? Provide technical support to sales, marketing, production, quality and purchasing
? Working closely with the global R&D hardware / software teams

Key Skills and Attributes

The candidate will be able to demonstrate design capability in embedded microprocessor based projects. Analogue / Digital electronic circuit design experience is essential and embedded software development skills are highly desirable.
Above all, you will be extremely innovative and have a can-do attitude.

? Minimum 3 years’/preferably over 5 years’ design experience in electrical circuit design for mid/high volume products from design to production, with track record of successful results
? Understanding and experience in software development and debugging will be a plus
? Must be pro-active and results driven.
? Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
? Must be able to complete a task/project from start to finish.
? A good understanding of design for manufactures and test methodologies.
? Logical thought processes with excellent problem solving skills.
? Excellent English proficiency for clear and effective communication with the team in HQ
? Bachelor degree or above in electronics (or similar) from a well-recognized university
?
Preferable Skills
? HW/FW technical lead in NPD process
? Experience in the design and application of sensing technology products
? Experience in the design of Audio products and Switched Mode Power Supplies.
? Experience in infra-red and wireless technology.
? Understanding of optical design
