Position: GTO_ Cargo Quality Assurance Officer (36957BR)

Mission

Monitor the transport quality and safety, by auditing transports, compounds, harbors etc. on regular basis. Register results in RMS system.

Inspect the condition of load carrier.

Prevent damage from occurring whilst the cargo is in our care and control; by stopping or prohibiting carriers from loading/unloading when substantial deviations from the quality assurance requirements are recognized.

Implementation of CQA global processes and fully execute QA activities in APAC region.

Responsibilities

To proactively prevent losses:

o Plan and perform quality audits/surveys and follow up; Frequently perform quality inspection in nearby ports/compounds/terminals.

o Issue and distribute new and updated handling instructions/quality manuals in accordance with internal and external demands.

o Perform risk analyses in order to reduce risks of cargo losses on terminals, compounds and harbors.

o Participate in development projects to secure cargo quality or safety issues.

o Arrange, plan and conduct test loads.

o Perform training and education of carriers on the transport quality manuals and cargo specific demands / securing instructions

o Initiate and perform trainings together with customers and/or carriers/terminal operators concerning the cargo handling and securing.

o Keep close contact with carriers, internal/external customers in respect of their quality performance. Enforce action plans to carriers

o Project/ customer support before launches of new products in order to safeguard the cargo quality during transport and storage.

o Performing surveys of damaged vehicles/goods

o Arrange, plan and conduct test loads

o Set up SOP for the handover point and responsibility in logistics process.

To analysis and take action on repetitive losses and audit deviations:

o Collaborate with Claims adjuster

o Set up meetings with responsible carrier to get corrective actions.

o Root Cause analysis of flow matters

o Initiate internal improvements with applicable management/ personnel.

o Communicate and follow up KPIs

Requirement

Bachelor Degree in Logistics /Mechanical / Automobile/ Production with at least 5-8 years of relevant experience in logistic area or quality management or insurance company risk engineering.

Quality assurance or experience in quality methods.

Understand transportation related local Laws and regulations

Fluent in both written & spoken English

Use of Computer and tools like MS office & Power Point Presentations

Extensive experience in logistic quality management, automotive company preferred.

Good understanding of marine cargo distribution.

Analyze, collect and structure information

Good communication and presentation skills

Team player; culture awareness and ability to work in diverse environment, building internal and external relationship and networks
