ARM eMPU Staff Software (OS) Engineer

Responsibilities

· Lead and participate in porting Linux and/or Android, including kernel, peripheral drivers, development tools and programming tools development, on the ARM eMPU and secure products.

· Lead and participate in publishing related code, and working with the open source community to make sure the ARM eMPU products are well supported in the community.

· Write software application notes and technical articles.

· Participate in and lead the customer support.

· Develop and manage the partners for the embedded operating system.

· Manage the projects, assign resources and follow up progresses, manage priorities and lead times, manage the efficiency and delivery quality.

· Assist the Software and Tools Manager in managing and developing the team competencies; and in recruiting, training and coaching. Assist in managing and evolving the software flow.

· Participate in and lead the collaboration with the Software and Tools Team in France for defining the tasks and objectives, reporting achievements, and solving issues.

· Supervise a group of Software (OS) Engineers and Senior Software (OS) Engineers when assigned.

Mandatory Skills

· Must have solid C/C++ programming experience in the development of embedded software for ARM microprocessors, especially Linux/Android porting and drivers.

· Must have proven experience in software development tools, such as compilers, debuggers, in-circuit emulators (ICE), integrated development environments (IDE), etc.

· Must have proven experience in software development flow (version control, bug tracking, software delivery, coding standard…).

· Must have solid experience in embedded software development project management.

· Must have the ability to communicate effectively with multi-levels of internal and external interfaces.

· Must be a self-starter with the ability to proactively propose technically competent solutions; must be result-oriented and have the skills to manage time efficiently.

· English, fluent conversation, reading and writing

Preferred Skills

· Preferred to have proven experience in designing peripheral drivers under RTOS, such as uCOS-II, eCOS, Free-RTOS, ThreadX, etc.

· Preferred multi-national company (MNC) working experience in semiconductor industry.

· Preferred experience of leading, coaching and mentoring other engineers.

· Chinese mandarin, native speaker

Education

Bachelor above degree in Computer Science or related major, Master above preferred

Experience

Minimum 8-year experience in embedded OS-oriented software development.
