GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Recruits, interviews and participates in the selection process for filling vacancies within the facility. Checks references and handles employment verifications. Works with Site Manager and Production Manager in ensuring that the facility is properly manned.
? Champions the concept of self-directed work teams, coaches the teams in facilitating problems, conflicts and operational issues. Assists teams with designing guidelines and policies. Fosters a participative and positive employee philosophy culture. Facilitates team meetings on human issues such as discipline, turnover, absenteeism etc.
? Designs and facilitates the Employee Orientation process to ensure the new employee is successfully acclimated to the culture.
? Develops and conducts various training for the operation, administers career development and performance management process for the facility, Succession Planning, Performance Appraisals and Graduate Development. Promotes continuous learning and advises employees on courses, seminars etc. to enhance their careers.
? Administers the Employee Compensation system to include Pay-For-Knowledge and incentive programs.
? Maintains the Affirmative Action Program for the facility. Investigates EEOC complaints and works with Federal Mogul Legal in resolving these issues. Prepares various EEO reports.
? Responsible for Employee Communication program to include development of Employee Handbooks, training manuals and newsletters. Coordinates employee social and recreational activities.
? Develops annual budgets for the Department.
? Responsible for some Admin issues.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

? BS degree in Business or related field or Psychology.
? At least 8 years experience as a HR generalist in a manufacturing environment and 5 years in management functions, working for JV is a plus.
? Must possess some experience and a strong commitment to self-directed work teams or Participative Management philosophies.
? Strong training and development background and experience with skill based compensation systems preferred.
? Salaried and hourly recruitment experience a must.
? Working knowledge of employment, labor and safety laws and regulations.
? Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with a strong business sense.
? Excellent communication and presentation skills required.
? Good command in English.
