Job title: Researcher / Associate Consultant

Manager: Practice Leader

Job purpose:

Responsible for standard public records research and basic primary research

Tasks and responsibilities:

- Carry out standard public records research in Chinese and English
- Task subcontractors on basic file retrieval
- Manage a basic project
- Carry out simple overt enquiries (primary research)
- When receiving an enquiry from a new prospect, direct them to the appropriate senior member of staff

Knowledge and experience:

Essential
- Minimum university degree
- English and Mandarin (fluent)
- Computer literacy

Preferred
- Some knowledge of or experience in a business environment

Skills and competencies:

Service
- Ability to carry out thorough, detail-oriented research that provides a comprehensive view of a subject
- Must be able to meet deadlines under pressure

Problem Solving
- Strong analytical/investigative mindset required, critical thinking and problem solving

Communication
- Effective communication skills required – written and oral ability to communicate research topics, and more complex concepts in discussion with case managers
- Ability to express ideas and write reports independently
- Comfortable asking questions

Relationships/Personal
- Interest in and ability to work as a part of team, which may include working with colleagues in other offices and countries
