Alfa Laval has during recent years established Product Centre Asia located in Shanghai, to support the growing Asian market, representing global R&D and Product Management for our major product areas and technologies.
Product Centre Asia has a regional responsibility and consists of Product Management and several Product Development teams, and has successfully driven product activities for Asia in general and China in particular. To further strengthen our R&D organization we are now looking for a new engaged, creative and motivated colleague, to work with our established and competent Design Engineers in the Product Development team for High Speed Separators.
The R&D Centre for development of High Speed Separators (HSS) is located in Stockholm, Sweden. We are looking for a Design Engineer to be situated with our Shanghai team according to below:

Work areas will be:
--You will work with product development and product maintenance activities / projects in close cooperation with the R&D Centre HSS.
--You will support our Manufacturing unit in China with product design knowledge.
--You will support the Purchase organisation with technical and product knowledge.

Your profile and requirements:
--You have a University degree, minimum Bachelor level, in Mechanical engineering.
--You have at least two years of relevant design experience.
--The most important design tools will be 3D-CAD (ProE) and and PDM system (Sensei PDM).
--You have experience within various manufacturing techniques and preferably in metal cutting and casting.
--You will have contact with the R&D Centre on a daily basis why your English must be good. As a person you are open minded and receptive.
--To work well in our project environment you need to be a good team-player and used to deliver results on time.
--You have a natural ability to work with different cultures and also have cultural interest and awareness.
--You will be located in our office in Shanghai, but will frequently visit our factory in Jiangyin.
--You will be reuired to visit suppliers and customers.
--You need to be able to travel to our R&D Centre in Sweden when needed. A part of your initial training may take place in Sweden.
