职位描述
Job Title: Product quality technician – Upholstery specialist
Department/Group: Quality control Depart.
Location: Shanghai Office
Primary Responsibilities
Ensure that all products are fully quality checked according to the standards of technical specification and reference samples (or in sample report), the sampling plan and the quality policy and quality control procedures of company. This includes the product, packaging and labeling (including construction, means of production, finish, raw materials, fittings, assembly, and care instructions)). Additionally, the PQT role is also to ensure that all products are produced in line with the legislation of countries where goods will be sold.
? Check all samples and provide reporting to related teams (Quality manager, Merchandisers, Product managers in UK).
? Ensure that all technical documentation (product briefs, specs and test reports,etc.) are complete, updated and well organized.
? Ensure that all products are produced to comply with the legislation of the countries where goods will be sold
? Meet first delivery mandatory inspection requirements and schedule follow up inspections based on risk or sales feedback. Ensure that all suppliers maintain the agreed quality level.
? Ensure that product packaging is optimized from a quality, standard and cost perspective.
? Contribute to product development of new goods through providing ideas that improve the quality spec and /or the appearance or safety and the functionality
? Handle claims and quality control issues between Made and the supplier in a proactive manner ensuring that situations are resolved and solutions established to avoid repetition.
? Manage samples within the office for the area of responsibility.
? Undertake specific projects with agreement of technical manager (quality manager) and in conjunction with designer/develop that will provide long term benefit to the business.
? Ensure clear communication within the team through regular updates.
? Conduct inspections in case PQI are too busy (specially before CNY)
Main Requirements
? 4 years and/or more than 4 years academic education in industry or engineering area, especially wood working/furniture/Upholstery.
? More than 5 years working experience at technical development, production management and/or quality working in upholstery. Experience in British fire retardant regulation is better.
? More than 4 years working experience at product development and/or products quality control in the line of international resourcing business;
? Experience with European children furniture’s regulations will be appreciate
? Able to use written English for daily work, and be able to speak English for daily communication;
? Have good health and be able to travel often to meet the required schedule;
? Be willing to learn to improve and to take hard work with team work spirit.
