Position Title: Product Engineer
Reports To: Product Development Manager
Industry: Home Furnishings, Furniture
Scope: Asia (China, Vietnam, India)

Made is searching for a Product Engineer that is energized, self-motivated, and prepared to work in a fast-paced and growth driven environment.

Main Requirements
? Three (3) or four (4) year degree in product engineering from a qualified university
? Minimum two (3) years’ work experience in the home furnishings and furniture areas
? Desirable candidates must have a minimum of 4 - 5 years’ experience working with AutoCAD / Solid Works
? Proficient with Illustrator and Photoshop
? A manufacturing environment - Wood and metal experience important, plastics experience is helpful
? Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes and product cost is necessary along with a solid mechanical aptitude
? Good communication and technical writing skills necessary
? Fluent spoken English and Chinese
? Advanced ERP and MS Office skills pertaining to engineering tasks
? Highly organized/detailed with strong task follow-up capabilities
? Strong inter-personal and communication skills
? Continuous learner
? Understands and applies the concept of teamwork
? Comfortable with extended travel to supplier locations
? Ability to work under pressure with constant deadlines
? Ability to work independently, organize and prioritize work.
? Innovative, determined individual
? Dependable
Primary Responsibilities
- Work with the designers and product development team to transform preliminary concepts into detailed technical drawings.
- Work with designers and product development team on material specifications?
- Evaluate all product samples and photos through prototype and first production run. ???
