We at the Global Engineering Services (Shanghai) focus on providing technical solutions and services to engineers across the company. Working closely with our colleagues from the US, Canada, and Singapore, we are responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of internal or external web applications according to requirements and business needs.
Responsibilities:
? Work with both local and remote teams to realize the overall system vision.
? Design, develop, refactor, optimize, and enhance web applications utilizing an array of today’s web technologies.
? Work closely with project manager and UX designers to define and build elegant user interfaces.
? Document system and application architectures.
? Take technical ownership of assigned components within the overall software solution.
? Continuously evaluate and address issues related to usability, performance, stability, scalability, and extensibility of the systems.
Desired skills and expertise:
? BS or MS in Computer Science, or Engineering.
? At least 3 years of experience in enterprise class, web-based software development.
? Solid background of ASP.net or PHP-based web system design and development.
? Detailed knowledge of web technologies: DHTML, XML, JavaScript, JQuery, Bootstrap, CSS, Web services (SOAP and RESTful), and Web communication protocols.
? Proficient with rapid development methodology.
? Experience with web servers, application servers (like Apache, IIS) and scripting in Linux environment.
? Experience with at least one relational or NoSQL database (e.g. SQL Server, MySQL MongoDB).
? Experience of mobile device software development is a plus.
? Experience with SharePoint or WordPress is a big plus.
? Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are required.
? Quick learner of new technical concepts and tools.
? Customer-oriented mindset. Ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements and customer needs.
? Committed to deliver tasks on time according to requirements and business needs.
