Job Title: Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer, Shanghai

Principal Accountabilities:
? Confirm that supplier knows TSE Quality and Engineering Requirements.
? To validate that TSE supplier is having the adequate quality and process controls to assure good parts.
? Review the TSE parts based on the Quality Supplier Results as guarantee of supplier good quality
? Conducting periodic on site audits as confirmation that supplier is in compliance with TSE requirements drawings, specs, controls etc. In addition to the audits initiating and closing the corrective and preventive actions.
? To provide TSE specific requirements to supplier on a NPNI (New Part Numbers Introduction) and/or AST (Asian Supplier Transition)
? Assure that supplier is having a supplier quality related activities, such as APQP (advanced product quality planning) and ISIR (Initial Sample Inspection Report) to meet TSE specifications and standards.
? Possessing and expanding knowledge of stamping, rubber and welding manufacturing processes to maintain expertise and be a local expert on these process areas.
? Able to train the suppliers (for using of statistical tools and root cause analysis tools) to improve their performance.
? Liaison effectively with Global Sourcing, Product Engineering and Quality Manager.
? Execution- Persistent drive for results utilizing organizational and problem Solving skills.
? Communication and Interpersonal –effective facilitation skills and demonstrates high energy.
? Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and demonstrate a proficiency with geometrical dimensioning and tolerance.
? 7-10 years of directly related work experience in at least 4 of the following areas: Six Sigma, Product Quality Planning, Supplier Quality, Customer Quality, Receiving Inspection Quality, TS/ISO/AS Auditor, etc.
? Experienced in using of process control tools such as FMEA, PPAP, and Cpk Analysis. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several abstract and concrete variables.
? Must be able to plan, organize, and implement multiple concurrent tasks and projects.
? Excellent analytical skills and promotes a problem solving work style.


Measures of success:
? Must be willing to work in a result based, fast paced environment with minimal supervision.
? Defective Parts per Million (PPM) and improvement of other supplier metrics.
? To assure Supplier Quality on site (by supplier tools and/or resources) before ship parts to TSE.
? To motivate Supplier the uses of Gages (i.e. GoNo/Gos, fixed fixtures, etc.) to reduce process variation and ensure good quality.
? Overall Supplier Scorecard Improvement.

Basic Qualifications:
? Must be fluent in English and native Chinese speaker.
? Spanish Desired.
? At least 4 years work experience as SQE.
? Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
? GD&T Trained and/or Qualified
?
? TS16949 and ISO (certified) standards and supplier quality auditing.
? Must have demonstrated understanding of APQP concept and PPAP or FAIR processes and implementation.
? Fluent using basic quality tools (8D, 5W2H, PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP, etc.).
? Strong background in Statistical Process Control, MSA, PPAP, AIAG Core Documents
? Computer skills on Excel, Outlook and MS Office Software and with experience using Minitab and Autocad.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
? Certified Green belt required - Lean Expert / Black Belt preferred
? Mechanical Engineering background is considerable.
? Graduate Degree.
? Ability to mentor, coach, and lead cross functional teams to mitigate areas requiring improvement.
