Your work will be used by millions of people from every country in the world and by some of the largest companies in the world. We care about good software engineering, and we iterate quickly. On average, we push new code to users over three times a day. We are constantly learning and improving our process and skills via weekly tech talks and robust code reviews. As the first engineering hire in Shanghai, you will work closely with our engineering team in the United States while also helping to develop the Shanghai team’s engineering culture. This position will have the potential to grow into a strong leadership role over time.
(a) Things We Look For

* Minimum two years professional web development experience in a language such as Javascript, Ruby, Python, Perl, or PHP
* Fluency in Javascript, HTML, and CSS
* Extraordinary software engineering talent
* Strong English communication skills
* Strong Unix / Linux skills
* Strong debugging skills and ability to work independently on a large code base
* Fast learner, self-sufficient

* Strong sense of visual design
* Examples of past work (e.g., open source projects, portfolio, etc.)
* Experience with Ruby on Rails
