We are looking for a talented business development professional with superb networking and partnership-building skills, for our world-leading science publishing company. The role will work with colleagues in China and across the world to help grow our business in this key market.

Main duties will include:
? Developing and grow sales revenues across all NPG commercial advertising, sponsorship and custom products to achieve financial targets.
? Systematically working on large scale commercial and custom projects from initiation through all relevant phases including the successful sale and project delivery.
? Creatively work with existing and new clients to propose new project topics and areas that will generate revenue.
? Working collaboratively with colleagues to create a culture of success, excellence and continuous development.
? Working with relevant product managers to identify and develop new products, custom projects, consultancy opportunities and other revenue-generating opportunities.

Applicants should have:
? Strong commercial drive alongside proven experience in maximising revenue potential and business development
? A thorough understanding of the scientific research community and its needs and aspirations
? Positive ability to develop long-term professional relationships with key members of the scientific community
? Sound knowledge and interest in science
? Strong interpersonal and influential communication skills, with effective negotiation and presentation skills (ideally very strong skills in English and mandarin)
? A creative approach to problem-solving
