职位描述

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE: Manage the crawler team so that online data is acquired reliably, accurately and within the required timeframes for all clients. Recommend improvements to the crawler technology used and look at new data sources that will enhance competitive advantage.

MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITY:

1, Leads and manages a high performing team.

1) Holds team members accountable with clear objectives,KPI’s, policies and procedures.
2) Drives high performance in the team through managing and coaching the team and providing quality feedback.
3) Recruits and selects high performers, develops talent and then recognizes and rewards performance.
4) Facilitates regular team meetings to discuss issues, share knowledge, share achievements, and provides training and direction.
5) Identifies training and development needs and provides the resources needed to develop team members.

2, Crawler Management

1) Manage the crawler system to ensure smooth operations.
2) Monitor crawler usage and ensure resources are within allocated budget.
3) Look for new data sources and determine suitability for our clients.
4) Liaise with the Platform team and IT Infrastructure team to ensure there is a stable infrastructure for the crawlers.
5) Collaborate with the Platform team and new software updates/upgrades for the crawler technology.
6) Collaborate with the Platform team on a key project called Data Acquisition and Accessibility (DAA) to share our online content easily to all five platforms.

3, Incident Management

1) Liaise with Service Desk on a 24/7 basis to resolve escalated issues and perform ad-hoc requests.
2) Liaise with Platform, Production and Client Services teams on issues with crawlers that need repair or development.

4, Project work and change management

1) Liaise with IT Infrastructure and Service Desk on projects with regards to data acquisition.
2) Quality assurance of new/updated schema, objects, processes, and scripts which affect any of the databases.
3) Compliance with define Change Management processes

JOB SPECIFICATION:

1, Technical Skills:

1) Experience working with very large high transaction/volume size DB’s and Systems
2) Java/C++ Language
3) SQL Query optimization

2, Industry experience:

1) At least 4 years managing people
2) At least 3 years technical experience
3) Has established work processes previously
4) Has worked collecting and transforming data for Business Intelligence previously
5) Has worked in an English speaking organization before

3, Management skills:

1) Excellent interpersonal skills
2) Track record of leading high performing teams
3) Managed multiple teams simultaneously to ensure work processes are followed

4, Personal qualities:

1) Ability to work to deadlines.
2) Ability to multi-task.
3) Work in a team environment.

5, Language skills: Excellent command of English and Chinese

6, Communication skills: Excellent verbal/written communication skills able to present ideas and situation updates
