General Manager Assistant
Chapin House is a showroom specializing in fine home furnishings and accessories. With 4,700 sqm of showroom space in Jinqiao, we provide an unparalleled selection of products to satisfy our customers. Our website is www.ChapinHouse.com.
We focus our efforts to fulfill the needs of foreigners arriving and living in Shanghai. Providing everything as they attempt to make their house in Shanghai their “home-away-from-home". Comfortable down-filled sofas and chairs, warm rustic wood tables made of reclaimed elm, teak, acacia, and iron. Luxurious memory foam mattresses, soft & durable rugs, decorative lamps, exquisite porcelain plates, quality stainless silverware, plush 100% cotton towels and bed linens.
Chapin House is a young (4+ years in business), but fast growing furniture company. The owners are American and have been in the retail furniture industry for 15 years. We need more people to help with this growing business.
This General Manager Assistant position will help the owners of Chapin House handle the day to day operations of the store and warehouse.
Work directly with the owners on day-today operations, including sourcing, vendor relations, purchasing, logistics, etc.
We need a person that has an open mind about accepting other duties as needed. We are a small company and as we grow we need staff that can grow with us. They need to be presentable and show a sense of personal and professional style. Very good English or better is required since most customers will English speaking (with Chinese customers also).

Solid written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin.
