Corporate Division Powertrain

Division, located in Shenyang/China

Employment – full time

Tasks

To run metrology services for in-house and locally sourced components.

To ensure that inspection and test equipment is always calibrated and capable

Key Responsibilities

- Measuring room to plan, co-ordinate, lead and manage the metrology processes, problem investigation, measurement strategies and programmers (internal and supplied parts) and incoming part event orientated inspection

- Equipment management to ensure that measurement equipment and techniques are capable of supporting Powertrain processes to maintain and improve product quality and exceed customer expectations

- Reporting (to serve as the point of contact for all relevant functions: analysis specialists, quality specialists / production management, quality control for all parts quality issues)

- Close working with BMW TA Engine Production Metrology is necessary for both efficient operation (including sharing of part measurement programs) and sharing of best practice / correct measurement methods

Qualifications

- University major in engineering; Bachelor degree or above

- Expert knowledge of quality standards

- Expert knowledge of measurement equipments, inc. CMM, roughness and contour, adcole etc.

- Up-to-date knowledge of advancements in quality thinking and approaches

- Highly developed communication skill and team work ability

- Team and individual development, management and leadership

- Project management skills

- Awareness of health, safety and 5S issues in working processes

- Experience of working both cross-function and internationally

- English language is necessary, German is expected

- Knowledge of BMW and BMW Brilliance China business processes,4-6 years

- Working experience in engine metrology,7-10 years

- Working experience of engine assembly production and component machining,4-6 years
