Job Responsibility:
l Develop innovative solutions to complex engineering and manufacturing problems through identification and implementation of material development including conducting process analysis, applying knowledge of material development, products function test, product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, conferring with suppliers, and soliciting observations from the operators/production technicians;
l Good experience on material development of Polyurethane, PTFE, Rubber and plastic;
l Build up testing system of SEAL products, provide solution for quality issues and internal service to support new product development, application and quality;
l Assures test readiness and customer satisfaction by reviewing and signing-off test fixture drawings, ordering special test equipment, and coordinating existing in-house test equipment. Build up systemically analytical methods and techniques, interfaces with outside test lab facilities to provide technical support for testing;
l Refines and enhances products and process by applying continuous improvement and lean manufacturing/production principles and techniques to critical areas of production;
l Assure product and process quality by studying SEAL product characteristics, customer requirements, and government regulations, conferring with product team. Meet test objectives by determining testing methods, phases, and conditions. Establish standards to confirm and validate manufacturing process requirements;
l Ensures customer test criteria is correctly interpreted and applied by setting up development and qualification test procedures and preparing technical reports and data sheets;
l Communicate with customer and provide first-fit solutions, take lead on project management, set up project time-line requirement and coordinate with multiple function team;
l Develop tooling and fixtures for new products and processes and work with tooling vendors to ensure the quality and timely tooling support;
l Recommend product changes/improvements to Product Engineers;
l Identify and implement solutions for issues relating to safety, quality, productivity, and cost reductions;
l Share specialized knowledge with others;

Qualifications:
l Possess high level understanding of chemistry and processing of filled Plastics, Rubber or Fine Chemistry;
l Master degree or above in polymer sciences or materials technology with emphasis on formulation in support of filled systems;
l Thorough knowledge of test engineering theories, principles, industry practices, procedures, concepts, techniques, regulations, and policies. Preferred 2-5 years relevant experience in testing experience for elastomers;
l 5 years material engineering management experiences are preferred;
l Fluent in written and spoken English;
l Good learning ability and adaptability;
