Job Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
? Developing multimedia features and performance improvements.
? Troubleshooting and debugging related multimedia issues.
? Code optimization and integration.
? Some travel may be required.
Job Requirements:
The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:
? Requires a BS in CE/EE with 6+ years of related experience, or MB in CE/EE with 3 years of related experience to include at least 2+ years of experience in the design and development of multimedia applications on handheld or consumer products.
? Strong analytical and problem solving skills are required.
? Strong C/C++ development and debugging skills are required.
? Experience in developing and integrating video or image codecs (MPEG4, H.263, H.264, VC-1, and JPEG) preferably for the Android or Linux platforms is required.
? Experience in Android mobile OS platforms is important.
? Experience in optimizing multimedia performance, reducing power consumption and memory footprint is preferred.
? Knowledge in image and video codecs (e.g., JPEG, MPEG4, H.263, H.264, VC-1), speech codecs, streaming protocols (e.g., RTSP), and video telephony protocols are preferred.
? Experience in designing and implementing low-level software / firmware for embedded hardware device drivers and signal processing modules is a plus.
? Experience in OpenMAX, OpenGL, OpenVG, ISP, camera and LCD controller is a plus.
? Experience debugging with tools such as JTAG/ETM is preferred.
? RTOS/Linux/Windows Mobile experience is a plus.
? Excellent English oral and written communication skills are required.
