RESPONSIBILITY
l Position reports to Instrument Lead and/or Facilities Engineering Manager.
l Responsible for both independent work and contractor oversight on Instrument engineering design works (including control and instrumentation).
l Stewards instrumentation engineering aspects of the project with other discipline leads on the PMT,as necessary.
l Ensures that the Project's requirements,as detailed in the Technical Specifications for all instrument engineering,are carried out faithfully and in a timely fashion.
l Stewards the interfaces among the PMT, MICC organization,and the EPC contractor's organization with respect to instrumentation to ensure quality and minimize change orders.
l Position requires flexibility with respect to domestic and international travel.Position may require relocation for international project assignments.


COMPETENCIES:
l Thorough and extensive knowledge of Instrumentation engineering principles,theories,and concepts Applicable codes,standards,and trade practices.
l Thorough knowledge and expert judgment in the selection and application of Instrumentation hardware and software solutions.
l Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology12+years of closely related professional engineering experience,5+years of which should be at the Lead Instrument Engineer level on an Upstream project in the Oil & Gas Industry Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs, Lotus Notes, etc.
l Read,write,and speak fluent English,especially as it applies to technical communications ability to adapt to tight deadlines,heavy workloads,and frequent changes in priorities,while acting within a team environment.
l Expectation is for a rapid comprehension of ExxonMobil Engineering Practices
l Instrument and Electrical Discipline with 10-12 years experience in Power/Steel/oil Refinery experience
