Role purpose
Provide professional HSES work to support the site safe operation and improve the HSES standard as well as to comply with Syngenta HSES Code of Practices and China legislative requirements.

Accountability

1. Collect and assess the new HSES regulations, liaise with authorities to keep abreast of HSES legislative developments and government requirement to ensure the full compliance.
2. Approach site operational safety management and implement the safety plan in site.
3. Approach site security management to ensure Nantong site meets the requirement of global security code of practice.
4. To conduct the investigation of HSES accidents and identify the root cause and develop the preventive and corrective actions and verify their effective completions.
5. Be responsible for site HSES training program and provide the HSES training to employees and drive the employees’ HSES awareness improvement.
6. Coordinate the site internal HSES audit plan, minitor the progress and ensure all the improvement actions closed as plan.
7. Conduct the supplier HSE audit as company’s requirement to secure the business.
8. Be responsible for the transportation risk management for Nantong site.
9. Be responsible for the hazardous chemical registration in safety bureau.
10. Provide support to project on the safety permit /license and field safety management as required.
11. Provide the support to site general HSES management to help site deliver the good HSE performance.
12. Be responsible for the document and record development/management for HSE team.

Critical Knowledge:
1. Well know the safety and security standard and regulations.
2. Professional knowledge on HSES management.
3. Be familiar with the HSES permit issues.
4. Good understanding of chemical hazard, process safety and fire fighting principle.
5. Good communication and stakeholder management skill.
6. Good investigation, auditing and reporting skill.
7. Good oral and written English
8. Flexibility and analytical thinking
9. More than five years of working experience in chemical company.
10. More than three years of working experience on HSE management.
