RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Manage Gerber's Value Engineering team to provide leadership to meet/exceed team expectations.
? Set team/individual goals and objectives in alignment with the business and provide regular employee performance feedback in addition to annual performance reviews.
? Coach, mentor, and train director reports and provide opportunity for employees to grow individually and as a team, so that the Value Engineering team continually becomes more effective.
? Provide technical support in design, manufacturing to ensure our product is of the highest quality, reliability at the lowest cost.
? Support and work in a cross-functional team environment to effectively complete team projects.
? Ensure Value Engineering improve product quality, reliability, and cost by working closely with NPD Engineering, Supply-Chain, Service, and etc.
? Support and employ lean manufacturing tools throughout the supply-chain.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
? Bachelor degree or equivalent, MS degree preferred with a minimum of 10-years' experience in design, manufacturing engineering of complex manufactured products.
? Proven experience of supervision/managing for a minimum of 5-years
? Working knowledge of design, manufacturing processes, including but not limited to assembly of motion control equipment, machining, molding, fabrication, lean manufacturing, and etc.
? Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

? Excellent ability to follow through and drive process change
? Accomplished problem solver and strong analytical skills
? Ability to work effectively on teams in a cross-functional environment with a high level of integrity, honesty, discipline, and respect for others
? Good communication skills (verbal and written) in English
? Must be a Self-starter, high motivation to work
