Advanced Specialist Project Controlling

Employment – full time

Tasks

- Project controlling for G08, including the responsibility for:

1. Target Setting: Derive top down targets, support and challenge resource allocation

2. Target Steering: Coordinate regular plan evaluation process to have financial transparency during the whole project period from Target Agreement to Start of Production

Analyze, evaluate and forecast current planning status against an established target

Challenge spending and support measure development to close target gaps

Consultancy of project leader in his decisions and general controlling issues

3. Status Reporting: Create transparency report to management about actual and forecast vs. target. Assess chances and risks. Accumulate relevant data to enter and maintain a realistic basis for future planning and forecasting. Perform analytical review and cost reporting documentation

4. Release business transactions (investment, overhead, support etc.)

- Assist Controlling Senior Manager in presentations/reports to the customer/company management.

Key Responsibilities

- Communication clear target to project leader and business department
- Steer project target base on plans and actuals. Process: Project evaluations, FC,BU,LRP

- Tracking the actual project status. Provide transparency reports

- Alignment/communication with business partners, e.g. Business units in BMW Brilliance Automotive and BMW, Controlling sub-departments

- Financial releases (e.g. PO/PR/Call-off)

- Deliver Controlling's focuses/tasks for business units in the project, explain/interpret financial concepts/processes e.g. actual booking, FC/BU kick off, new process etc.

- Point out potential challenges and risks of projects; Support of decision process on project management level

- Project report preparation, e.g. preparation of board meetings and challenge boards (BoM, IC, BoD)

- Other contingent tasks and projects assigned by line manager

- Further improvement of process efficiency

Qualifications

- Controlling/ Accounting or Industrial Engineering master

- Knowledge of Controlling processes esp. Forecast/ Budget and Long Range Plan (LRP)

- Knowledge of standard controlling processes (LRP, Budget, Forecast)

- Experience in process analysis, documentation and optimization

- Ability for communication; insist the principle of Controlling; protect Controlling's interest; handling conflicts

- Communication on management level, good team player

- Language skills English, German would be an advantage

- Knowledge Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)

- Knowledge in SAP R/3 FI and CO Modules

- Experience in field of project controlling, 4-6 years

- Experience in standard controlling processes (LRP, Budget, Forecast), 4-6 years

- Experience of working in joint venture company , 4-6 years
