Tasks

Production Planning and Steering for Plant 0:

- To guide the offline production of plant 0 and to ensure the delivery of each car and product which is assembled in Plant 0 right in time a prober production program is needed. Therefore all requirements have to be collected and how many cars and what kind of cars are requested

- This information has to be transferred in a production program which considers the multi-project situation, capacity and resources, technology restrictions and project demands

- A building plan is the output which instructs the technologies in which timeframe the product has to be manufactured

- If needed the production plan has to be reviewed, updated, aligned and confirmed again

- During the production the transparency is essential if everything runs according to the plan

- This has to be reported on daily base and in the case of any deviation countermeasures have to be defined. Therefore a production meeting takes place on regular base during the building phase

- The whole offline production in plant 0 is steered by production planning from the start in body shop to the finished car and handover to customer

Structure Planning for Plant 0:

- All structural projects and measures related to Plant 0 or to offline productions in the responsibility of Plant 0 needs to be planned, coordinated, organized and realized. This includes modifications and refurbishments of existing facilities as well as new buildings

- Mechanical and electrical installation, media supply and equipment are in this scope also. Moreover movements of equipment and tools have to be coordinated and steered

- For all tasks the coordination with planning offices, suppliers, purchasing or other related departments belongs in the responsibility of structure planning. Tendering and RFQs have to be prepared and technical recommendation be given as well as the whole cost planning, steering, approval and follow up to achieve the targets (time, costs, quality) ensured

Key Responsibilities

- Detailed planning of all production programs and building sequences from offline production in Plant 0 for all technologies

- Steering the alignment about the hardware demands between all relevant departments like product line, technologies, customers and users of the hardware incl. their requirements about quality and schedule

- Delivery of a detailed production program and building sequence considering the multi-project situation, capacity and resources, working time models and technology restrictions

- Creation, maintenance, review and update of the production plan with the tool SPEED, KATI5 or an alternative IT software

- Prepare and ensure to have SLA’s (Service Level Agreement) between all relevant departments

- Steering the production during the period of manufacturing from the start in body shop to the finished car incl. handover to customer and generating the transparency about the building status on daily base. In the case of any deviation steering to have defined and aligned countermeasures in place

- Preparing, inviting, moderation and follow up of a daily production meeting

- Preparing und presenting of the production status as requested

- Planning, coordination, organizing and realization of all structural projects and measures related to Plant 0 or to offline productions in the responsibility of Plant 0

- Structure planning and realization of all modifications and refurbishments of existing facilities as well as for new buildings considering mechanical and electrical installation, media supply and required equipment

- Coordination and steering of movements for equipments and tools

- Coordination of technologies, planning offices, suppliers, purchasing and other related departments for structural issues. Preparation of tendering, RFQs and technical recommendations

- Cost planning, steering, approval and follow up to achieve the targets (time, costs, quality) for structural topics

- Keep close working relationship to all relevant process partners including counter partners of BMW AG to ensure aligned planning results

- Developing of targets for his area of responsibility and confirming them with first line managers

- Establishing continuous optimization with VPS

- Ensuring constant skill improvement, qualification and training associate

- Regularly report to first line manager and relevant process partner

Qualifications

- Bachelor/master degree in mechanical or automotive engineering or equivalent experience in car manufacturing

- Deep knowledge of production and R&D processes

- Deep knowledge of structure projects incl. realization. Experience with planning, tendering, judgment of structural measures and about interfaces with external service providers

- Experience of cost calculating and cost steering

- PC experience, MS Office working knowledge

- Driver’s license passenger car

- Chinese, English fluently (spoken and written), preferably German

- Ability/experience in working with an intercultural work environment

- Very high quality consciousness

- Ability to form and motivate his/her team

- Handicraft skills, self-initiative, improvisation skills

- Highly developed perceptive faculties to assimilate technical issues

- Open-mindedness in dealing with others

- Ability to work efficiently in matrix- and networking structures

- Preferably working experience in international operating companies, 1-3 years

- Experience in automobile production processes assembly, 4-6 years

- Several years experience in an automotive plant or similar business with supervising responsibility, 4-6 years
