POSITION: Senior Designer

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Direct report to Creative Director

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

o Bachelor’s Degree from Art School (BFA, Design)

o (5+ years) with agency portfolio.

o Open-minded and excellent conceptual design ability.

o Able and willing to listen, learn, and take directions well

o Flexibility – able to work extra hours with little or no advance notification.

o Listens and applies constructive criticism in job execution and performance issues

o Able to apply learning from job to job

o Good communication and organisational skills

o Excellent Mandarin and English language skill

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Creates compelling concepts / designs with skill and personal style

o Demonstrates expertise in the skills needed for art / design direction including:

- Design sense (color theory, typography, composition, 3D structure)

- Applying knowledge of Brand Voice and Audience (i.e., look, tone, and feel)

- Computer and Adobe suite programs fluency, fast and accurate.

- Knowledge of industry trends and ability to incorporate these trends into work

- Sketch ability to express idea and concept

- Excellent art execution

o Demonstrates vision and the ability to effectively lead creative projects.

o Demonstrates consistently exceptional problem-solving skills through an ability to generate multiple solutions / creative concepts / layouts across all platforms (promotional, retail, and advertising mediums)

Delivers ideas that are creative and appropriate for the business

o Conceptual thinking and good presentation skill

o Ability to think visually

o Knowledge of industry trends and ability to incorporate these trends into developed work

o Communicates concepts to ACD/CD and agency partners quickly and effectively

o Good logic understanding ability the culture of brands

o Know the retail / design marketing and how to use in actual life

o Presents concepts to clients clearly and concisely, with and without the presence of CD

o Demonstrates leadership / mentorship by delegating work to and managing mid-level and associate-level team members as well as outside resources (eg., photographers, illustrators, television /video /radio producers).
