Experience:

Minimum 4 years of SW QA testing and development experience, which includes expertise with automated testing tools and testing techniques.

Must have 1+ years of experience as direct lead or manager with 5+ team size.

Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications:

Graduate in Computer Science from a reputed University

Fluent Japanese is a must, with relevant certificate is a plus.

Excellent understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including Waterfall and Agile / SCRUM methodologies

Experience in creating Test plans, implementing automation frameworks and converting Functional Specifications into test scenarios

Experience and working knowledge of tools such as Quality centre, Win Runner / QTP, Load Runner etc.

Ability to accurately log defects, escalate issues and risks and provide accurate management reporting

Thorough understanding of test principles such as unit, smoke, functional (black box/white box), user acceptance and usability testing

Knowledgeable in database applications and data management with the skills to manipulate test data and experience with SQL.

Experience with RDBMS, preferably SQL Server and technology background in Java

Experience with SW lifecycle tools like defect management, test case management, release management etc.

Must have strong communication skills

Prior experience with producing repeatable test metrics to feed the decision making process

Strong organization skills, self-motivated, team player

Driven to meet aggressive milestones

Job Description

Summary:

The incumbent as a QA Manager is responsible for all aspects of quality assurance relative to a complex, distributed software environment. This position works collaboratively to develop and implement Test Strategies, Test Environment plans, Test Execution plans, Product quality metrics, trends, analysis and reports. Additionally QA Manager is responsible for appropriate development lifecycle tools & processes evaluation, induction and ownership.

The incumbent needs to have in-depth experience in SW product Quality management with blend of manual and automation testing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Create, own and execute a multi cycle project quality management strategy and plan.

Define and make operational appropriate test methodologies to ensure requirements compliance and operational readiness

Evaluate, recommend and own appropriate test bed environment

Define, introduce, collect and report right quality metrics in an automated way.

Take lead in cross function collaboration by building sustained productive relationships with all levels of colleagues.

Manage, mentor and productively deploy multiple quality engineering teams.

Effective supervision and guidance towards test execution, effort estimation, test schedules and reporting.
