Major Responsibilities:

Manage quality team to ensure that quality objectives are met.

Support Business segments and Global Sourcing function to fulfill their expectations from quality perspective.

Support Quality Director in planning of quality objectives and long term quality strategies that should be in line with new business development

Work with Quality Director to define quality strategy and to review / align in accordance with the business development.

Manage a team of Supplier Quality Engineers to ensure duties are performed to the most efficient / optimized manner as possible.

Manage CDI process to ensure proper execution of new product development and product transfer project froqquality perspective.

Assist suppliers to develop and maintain quality assurance system and to strive for continuous quality improvement.

To conduct quality system audit at suppliers' plant and to suggest areas for improvement (if any)

Assure compliance to internal quality system and product safety requirements

Assist team members such as QCE to develop competence to meet current and future task requirements

To work and to achieve Global Sourcing team's Quality objectives / target

Support business segment and Global Sourcing in achieving their objectives

To lead QCE team to conduct pre-shipment inspection for new product .

Perform administrative functions such as reporting quality data for the formulation of the monthly / quarterly quality dashboard

Requirements:

• Mechanical Engineering / Material Engineering background, preferably educated from overseas university
• At least 10 years working experience in hardware industry preferably in tools business.
• Possess managerial experience to manage a team of quality engineer for new product development / supplier quality improvement
• Strong Knowledge in quality tools such as SPC / FMEA / PAPP / QFD and factory quality management system
• Should be fluent in English and can perform presentation to wider audience.
• Project management experience.
• Product safety regulation
• Excellent knowledge in mechanical / manufacturing engineering in hardware fabrication
• Knowledge of tooling design is preferred
• Data analysis and problem solving
• Effective communication
• Open mind, Willingness to learn and improve
• Team player
