Marketing Assistant

The Marketing Assistant provides critical support to the Director and senior staff of iacc by providing research and analysis of the animation and creative content industries and through the implementation of creative marketing strategies in print, video, interactive and social media.  

The marketing assistant is responsible for engaging with the professional and academic communities to promote the training and production activities of iacc and where appropriate support the ongoing marketing strategies of DTMA.  He/she must learn and understand the concepts, dynamics and working methods of the creative animation industry and be able to communicate effectively (oral and written) in English and Mandarin. He/she must be a creative team player, willing to travel from time-to-time, have excellent organization and communication skills and be an enthusiastic participant in marketing through social networking.

Job Responsibilities.

?  Assist with the acquisition, analysis and use of customer and client profiles and lists.
?  Create, maintain and develop a marketing database.
?  Develop and integrate marketing materials and for recruitment and promotion in a variety of forms for brochures, articles, presentations, press releases, newsletters and web sites.
?  Monitor, maintain and update the organization’s web presence.
?  Assist in planning of special events, seminars, speaking engagements, workshops, presentations, site visits and ad hoc marketing initiatives.
?  Enhance the public’s awareness of DTMA - iacc programs and activities by actively engaging with the professional and student communities through an active social media and domain-specific web presence.

Skills

?  Strong communications skills in written and spoken English and mandarin.
?  Excellent and enthusiastic work ethics
?   Self-motivated and have ability to work independently and as part of a team and to take direction.
?  Strong organizational and problem –solving skills
?  Excellent familiarity with word processing, desktop publishing, presentation software, basic web site and spreadsheet applications.

Qualifications

?  Formal marketing education at a minimum of undergraduate level.
?  Familiarity with the creative sector preferably with media related experience.
?  Proven ability to communicate effectively.
?  Experience with developing and maintaining a social media presence and with web-site marketing.


?  International experience will be considered a key asset.
